The purpose of this CE course is to provide education and awareness for administrators, counselors, social workers, and human services providers on the treatment of substance use for individuals who have been diagnosed with co-occurring disorders. Part 1 provides substance use treatment providers with information on how to diagnosis, provide treatment, and resources for individuals diagnosed with co-occurring disorders. Part 2 covers strategies for working with people who have co-occurring disorders. This education covers Counseling Services skill of the Eight Counselor Skill Groups ascribed by NAADAC and NCC AP.
