This educational course covers SAMHSAs: After Incarceration: A Guide to Helping Women Reenter the Community publication. This course will cover best practices and considerations for individuals who provide or coordinate reentry services for women involved in the CJ system and are reentering the community. This education covers the treatment planning skill of the Eight Counselor Skill Groups ascribed by NAADAC and NCC AP.
Upon completion of this education course, the participant will be able to:
- Demonstrate knowledge of Trauma-informed Services;
- Identify Critical Reentry Needs;
- Describe how to treat substance use disorders post release;
- Describe how to provide Culturally Competent Services.
